| " Toni Gisone has a very unique way of doing house portraits. Her portraits are carved in relief and then painted. They're very colorful and charming. | ||

" I
don't think
you will find anyone else that uses this method in house
portraits" |
Toni uses basswood and hand carves with palm gouges. This technique is called "relief carving". They are painted and detailed with pen and ink. The portraits are sealed with a poly spray, so they can be wiped clean. |

"Her carvings make the perfect gift for many occasions, for many of us, it is true... "Home is where the Heart is" |

Basswood blanks come approximately 10 inches wide and under. The larger pieces
will measure 10
inches vertically, and as long horizontally as
needed depending on the home
she's doing. The carvings are "framed" by leaving a border around the wood work. The frame is generally painted grey, but can be done in any color you would prefer. |
